Encarnació Ricart Martí

Professor of Roman Law at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili; teaches in the Master of Business and Contractual Law, at the Interuniversity Master of Classical Archaeology ICAC-URV-UAB and the Master of Arts Heritage and Cultural Cooperation; She has taught in PhD and Degree in Law programs at University of Barcelona; She has given lectures and seminar sessions at the University of Pavia in the University of Leiden, in the Autonomous University of Madrid, Carlos III University of Madrid, University of Girona, at the University of Lleida and the University of La Laguna; She has conducted research in the Leopold Wenger Institute, University of Munich, Institute of Roman Law at the University of Cologne and the Max-Planck-Institut für europäische Rechtgeschihcte Frankfurt aM; she has been published in prestigious journals such as Anuario de Historia del Derecho Español (AHDE), the Revue Internationale d'Histoire des Droits de l'Antiquité (RIDA, Belgium), or the Revista General de Derecho Romano (RGDR) from the legal web site IUSTEL; has been published in prestigious tribute editions  to European romanists. She has been Principal Investigator of several MICINN and MEC research projects; She is coordinator of the research group recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya: Romanístic Foundations of Private Law; The topics that has taught are: Roman law, Romanistic Fundamentals on European Private Law, Legal Catalan Tradition, Comparative Law, Methodological Contributions to the History of Legal Thought and Legal System of Cultural Heritage. She was director of Department and Vice Rector of Institutional Relations and Society.
