Career Counselling and Citizenship
The subject Career Counselling and Citizenship (OPiC) is a generic subject that enables you to develop the knowledge and skills required for the Core Curriculum of URV master’s degrees.
To acquire the general competencies of the Core Curriculum, you can either:
- Complete the compulsory master’s subjects that contain the Core Curriculum competencies;
- Complete the subject Career Counselling and Citizenship (OPiC)
You can consult the curriculum of your master’s course to see if these competencies are integrated into any of the compulsory subjects. If this is not the case, you have to register for and pass the subject Career Counselling and Citizenship.
Recognition of subject
If you have work experience, you may request for it to be recognised as demonstrating that you already have the Core Curriculum competences. To obtain this recognition you must meet the following criteria:
- The work experience must equivalent to full time employment for a minimum of 12 consecutive months in the same place.
- The work experience must be related to the career opportunities available to graduates of the master’s degree for which the student has registered, or at the very least with the general professional competencies inherent in a postgraduate qualification.
