ERASMUS +

The Erasmus+ programme is the main programme for education and training in the European Union, which finances the cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe through the KA131 (Key Action 131) programme and with associated countries through the KA171 (Key Action 171) programme.

This programme not only gives support to students, but also professors to teach abroad, as well as help the university staff to receive training.

  • Testimonial video Special education professor Renata Sawa carried out a job-shadowing Erasmus+ STT mobility in the United Kingdom. There, she learnt new techniques to share with her colleagues and gained confidence in the use of new techniques in the classroom.

ERASMUS STT: (Teaching staff and Administrative staff)

Erasmus Staff Mobility for Training (STT): This programme allows teachers and staff in higher education institutions to participate in a training stay in other institutions or companies.

  • The objective is to allow beneficiaries to acquire knowledge based on experience and best practices, as well as practical abilities related to their work place and their professional development.
  • This training placement must be of minimum 5 days and maximum eight weeks long.
  • The programme contributes in covering the expenses of the mobility with a financial allowance for the trip and living expenses for up to 5 days for the Erasmus+ KA131 and 5 days plus 2 travel days for the Erasmus+ KA171.

IMPORTANT: Due to the limited places, an adjustment is applied since the 2016/17 year to benefit the administrative staff to obtain a mobility STT place.

ERASMUS STA: (only Teaching staff)

Erasmus Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA): teaching missions for teaching staff in higher education institutions.

  • This programme allows teaching staff to take part in a teaching period between 2 days up to 8 weeks in a higher education institution abroad.
  • The minimum teaching that must be justified through the corresponding certificate is 8 hours.
  • The programme contributes in covering the expenses of the mobility with a financial allowance for the trip and living expenses for up to 5 days for the Erasmus+ KA131 and 5 days plus 2 travel days for the Erasmus+ KA171.
