Antoni Pigrau is the director of the Tarragona Centre for Environmental Law Studies Alcalde Pere Lloret, which is devoted to socializing knowledge in the field of environmental law.
CEDAT was first set up as a Chair in 2007, the result of the collaboration with the Tarragona City Council. It focuses its activity on teaching, research, knowledge transfer and opinion creation. Subsequently, in 2009, CEDAT was recognised as a URV research centre.
On 3 November 2014 he was appointed vice-president of the Catalan International Institute for Peace (ICIP) by the Parliament of Catalonia, a post that he still holds today. The basic aim of the ICIP is to promote the culture of peace in Catalonia and the world, the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and an active role for Catalonia as an agent of peace.
Antoni Pigrau is professor of International Public Law and International Relations at the Department of Public Law of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, coordinator of the Research Group into Territory, Citizenship and Sustainability and director of the Catalan Journal of Environmental Law.
