What is the university degree of Speciality in Activities in Formation and Historic and Geographic spreading?

The aim of this own degree is to recognize the specific education of the geography and history in Activities in Formation and Historic and Geographic spreading and to certificate their knowledge and abilities in this field. 

It is necessary to have a basic education of the two subjects, since in some of the professional opportunities they ask for knowledge from both fields, such as: teaching, tourist spreading and documentary tasks.

Educational profile:

  • Knowledge of own national history
  • Knowledge of the diachronic structure
  • Knowledge of history didactics
  • Critical awareness of the relationship between present and past facts
  • Knowledge of the regional geographic places 
  • Knowledge of the human, economic and social geography
  • Knowledge of the physics geography and environment 
  • Knowledge of geographic information methods 

Graduates assume the explanation of history and geography explanations in secondary education, so that this itinerary allows to complete the education among subjects of other plans of study which are complementary and also needed. 

Professional activities:

It is gone inside the nearest, the Catalan, Spanish or European environment knowledge, to deal with basic phenomena on education tasks, history and geography or in the spreading of different signs, such as:

  • Museums
  • Tourist guidance 
  • Media documentalist
  • and so on.
How to obtain the diploma?

The student has to pass a total of 60 credits to choose among main, compulsory and optative subjects from the following itinerary. From the total of credits, 36 will correspond to optative subjects.
