Piet van Leeuwen awarded an honorary degree

The honorary degree award ceremony for the chemistry researcher Petrus Wilhelmus Nicolaas Maria van Leeuwen will be held on Wednesday 14 October at 12 o’clock in the University Auditorium. Carmen Claver will present his scientific merits.
 

Piet van Leeuwen is emeritus professor of Industrial Homogeneous Catalysis at the Technical University of Eindhoven (Holland) and the head of the research group into Homogeneous Catalysis that bears his name at the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ) in Tarragona.

His sponsor and the person who will describe his scientific and academic career is Carmen Claver from the Department of Physical and Inorganic Chemistry.
Petrus Wilhelmus Nicolaas Maria van Leeuwen is the twenty-second person to have been awarded an honorary degree by the URV. The ceremony is open to the general public.
